You may come across a lower price, however, they may not provide complete preventative maintenance. Our services are also offered without a service contract, so if you’re not happy, you’re free to switch to another service provider at any time.
When to Call a Furnace Technician
At the first sign of issues, we recommend first checking your thermostat, changing your filter, and making sure there aren’t any items obstructing your heating vents. If that’s not something you’re comfortable with, we’re happy to help.
Once these items are checked and if the issue still isn’t fixed, it may be time to contact a licensed HVAC technician. When dealing with gas and electricity, a cautious approach should be taken.
Furnace Replacement
In the event that a furnace needs to be fully replaced, it will always come as unfortunate news, however, weighing the cost of operating and maintaining your existing equipment against an upgrade may come with significant savings in the long run. Most furnaces installed before 1990 are lower-efficiency models that average between 60 and 70 percent efficiency. The new high-efficiency gas furnaces we work with range from 95 to 99 percent and come with warranties of up to 10 years. In addition to energy and maintenance savings, you may be eligible for rebates on a replacement.
Upgrades from older low-efficiency furnaces qualify for up to $1150 in Fortis BC rebates on top of home energy savings. Contact us to learn more. We’re a member of the FortisBC Trade Ally Network.
